exhaust grounding strap

I saw in different websites where they state that a grounding strap reduces noise on the exhaust. is this true? how can ground affect sound?

"Many modern vehicles have individual injectors and spark plug coils for each cylinder. These units can create substantial pulses on the vehicle wiring against the ground system. Engine blocks often have a poor ground, so anything attached to them can become a radiator. The exhaust pipe is directly bolted to the engine and can be excited just like an antenna, radiating the pulsing noise. By using one of our exhaust grounding kits, you may eliminate that last bit of stubborn noise in your mobile installation."

I'd say alot of **** to sell my product too. I need independent research. I know my block isn't grounded poorly so I guess I don't have to worry about this.

Exhaust coupler + wire = 5dolla max. And why not just add a wire to the flange?

It's amazing to see what some people will say to sell such nonsense. Just go out and buy yourself some 8 gauge wire, a distro block, and some crimp rings. Make your own grounding kit this way. You don't need to ground your exhaust.

And why is this in the all motor forum?

where else should it be?
I don't plan on buying it from them. just asking if somebody tried grounding their exhaust and if it made a difference in sound like they say.

you don't NEED to add ground cables to your block either but it helps.

My Max came a ground wire to the cat flange stock. I doubt it does much though. It is not going to change your exhaust tone or volume.
