Exedy clutch won't go on :(

So here I am happy that my 3.5 swap is nearing completion..then the mechanic just told me he couldn't get my exedy organic clutch to go on.. this is the part I ordered from import parts plus:

Exedy Single Plate Organic Part #06803A - 1998 Maxima

It has the right number of splines but they are too wide, he had two other guys try and they couldn't get it on. Is this the wrong clutch? Any ideas?

You are a ways out there, I'm in South Dallas, right on the Duncanville border. I would be happy to help you, but it seems you are having a shop do the work, so that probably wouldn't go over well.

Are these the same guys who mounted your throttle cable bracket on the firewall?

lol, yes, the 'shop' did mount the bracket to the firewall at first :S

Hoohaa, I have the car back right now, thanks for the offer of help, I actually need to put 200-300 miles of city driving on the car to break in the new clutch

. So what car you got, what work have you done on it etc.? Its good to see some DFW people up here!
