Just did... I had several to catch up on.. still haven't got through them all yet...

BTW, I'm wondering what you guys are trying to compare here...just the shape of the curves for MEVI vs 00VI? But the graphs are all different cars with different mods on different dynos so....?

mainly the shap of the curves.... I have seem many different setups. Yours is the only i have seen NA to ever really exceed 200whp.

And to think at the time (nearly a year ago) Dandys set-up was focused only A/F & rev limit... no timing ..

It's the little things that make a big difference.

Well there was some timing... I had a JWT ECU then.. don't now though, it's all EU.

Timing is where you make or lose power. Air fuel has very little effect on HP until you start to get really crazy with it.

Case in point, I30tMikeD's turbo dyno WITH MEVI in which he made 75WHP LESS with a conservatively timed JWT ECU with a 7000 rev limit as opposed to a stock ECU, that's WITH MEVI. The rev limiter alone should have made him additional power, but his car was WAYYY more powerful with the stock ECU.

I would concur. The effects will be less amplified on a N/A car though of course...

Seeing these dynos is encouraging to me that my car (99SE 5spd) may see close to 200whp with my port matched 00VI/CAI/Y/E. Time to dyno.

I agree, timing is the key on our engines...and dandy even in his old dyno was running some timing advance from the JWT ecu...5 or 6 extra degrees I think is what you typically see with the JWT ecu's...plus he is really dialed in well (his A/F) most of us are really not to be honest. I think all of us could see 220whp like his car if we tuned really well and ran a good deal of timing advance.

I guess I just blocked that from my memory. What I do remember making about 3-5whp difference was the JWT PopCharger filter vs Apexi filter...
