sc400's are heavy auto pigs (some people do TT them though...i'd hate to run into that)

My sc300 will have a 1jz 3.5l TT engine with 5spd trans. That engine swap alone is easier, and yields more results than ANY 3.5 swap.

2jzgte has a 6spd trans in a supra, you can make it work in a GS300.

I have a Spec stage2 clutch on my 3.5. I too have an UDP and I dont detect any slip at all. And I did beat on it slightly while still in the break-in period. After only 80miles a Mazda 6 tried me and I just HAD to shoot it down. With only 80 miles on the clutch I powershifted and not an ounce of slippage. I felt bad for it and babied it for a few days, but now Im whoring it and its just fine. ~550miles on it so far and no problems (hopefully it will stay that way).

Also, Goalikeg (another 3.5 swapper) is running the 5th gen clutch with no problems.

I've been running one, and it's held up just fine so far. Even ran it at the track with 5+ 3500-4k clutch dumps (that blew the tranny unfortunately). This clutch is great. My mods:

VQ35 I/H/Y/E EU LC-1. Even though I'm untuned (that shall change this weekend), I'm still putting out around 220whp, and I've already beat on this clutch alot. I like it personally.

At least someone here knows what's going on.

so with the 3.5 swap into a 3.0 car w/ 5 speed. the altima clutch would be the best oem solution wouldnt it?

Everyone has a clutch they prefer but no one can say the best clutch for the swap becuz no one has really had the swap for that long a time. Some people have a clutch that died and other people might have the same clutch w/ no problem at all.
