Emanage Blue and tach issue...

Alright, I was wiring Glenmoormax/Vortechpower's rpm switch for his 00vi couple of days ago. No biggie since the wiring was already pre-tapped from the ecu so I only had to locate the Tach wire on the emange. Well I spliced into it (emanage side) and started her up, no signal... green light on the summint rpm switch didnt come on when it was set at 2k to activate, the tach needle stopped working... I was like WTF. Unhooked the line and the tach needle came back to life. I retapped the line on the OEM tach wire and the same thing happened. Is there something I'm missing? I never had this happened before on pass installs so is there a different location for me to tap for a tach signal or does EB have a output for it???
