Bubbling Coolent?

Bubbling Coolent?
This is not Maxima related, rather my brother's 96 Camry (4cyl).
My question is simple...what would cause coolent to bubble out the overflow tank if it is a 50/50 mix in California weather with the thermostat just being replaced. My thoughts was that a dirty coolent passage in the radiator/engine might be causing this. Any input?

What's coolent?
Is it bubbling out of the tank, or is it just bubbling in the tank? If it's the latter, then you should be fine, or your friend with the 4cyl Camry should be ok.

Yes, the coolant* is bubbling out of the tank...almost as if it was just normal water and it was overheating. That is not the case though!
I am trying to do everything I can to help my brother out here...I do not want to see him spend $1000+ on something I know is very simple! I can not seem to pinpoint it!
I honestly think draining the coolent and CLEANING the engine/rediator would solve the problem, but I want to make sure I am right before anything else happens. Please help me...anyone. This means a great deal to me and the people on the camry forums seem to be brain dead or something.

Why don't you get the air out first...if it didn't do this before you replaced the stat, then either the stat is faulty or you have an air pocket. Take the caps off the radiator, overflow, and any other entry to the coolant system and let the car idle for 15 mins or so. When it stops bubbling all the air is out, unless its bubbling because its f'ing boiling...then you might shut that little yoda off...
While were on topic I was thinking of dropping the 3L Camry motor into my 4th , anyone done this?
