4th gen wont start after v2 removal

We just pulled the v2 stillen kit off my buddies 97 auto. Gave us a lot of belt problems so we decided to lose it (niether of us have time to mess with it). We pulled the blower, the 2nd fuel pump, after market regulator and pluged whatever vacum lines we could find that no longer had places to go along with removing the T for the oil preasure switch.

Now the car wont start, fuel pump fuse in it just cranks and cranks, when we pull the fuse it will fire and then die out from not having gas. Almost like the car is just flooding itself.

Couple things we're unsure of. Does the fuel return line go to the upper or lower brass line? and can a fuel preasure regulator go bad from not being conected for a year or so.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, car is stuck at work Thanks

- Dan

EDIT Forgot to add that the car has a MEVI on it

We got it to start but it dies as soon as we give it gas. It will also idle for about 20 seconds before it dies but it starts.

there are 2 lines for the fuel. The fuel line comes from the fuel filter so that's shouldn't be hard so the return line is the other one.

yeah your fuel pressure regulator could go bad after sitting for that long.. did you put injectors in it? if so they may be dumping too much fuel..

Sounds like the fuel lines are hooked up wrong. A FSM will clear that right up. No vacuum lines should be plugged as you put it. All vacuum lines associated with the SC should be out of the equation and out of the car. Where was your vacuum source for all the SC related items? Maybe you forgot to plug in your MAF, that would explain why the car starts but fails when given gas.
