But about the video, I suggest you atleast look for a closed road to race on instead of one with oncoming traffic. That looked very dangerous.

I never really race on the streets, especially with traffic... and I clearly know it was dumb. I was just overwhelmed with thrill and excitement that the car was running so strong. When he challenged me, I hesitated to say yes, but apparently, did it.

We usually take it to an underpass turnaround near my house, where theres never any traffic there(industrial) plus its a good 1/2 mile stretch before hitting the off ramp.

It was just 2 of us, me and my brother.
It actually took 2 months, but its just because I didnt really plan it well. Along the way, I had to buy a few parts and wait for them to come in... The Christmas holidays, New Years, my little girl's 5th B-day party... not to mention we did it in my front yard; and a few days that we were trying to work on it, it rained and/or snowed.

I think with better planning, an enclosed work area, and a differnt time of year, we could have finished it in 2-3 weeks.

Nice job on the swap. You won't have the car very long racing around public streets during the day, however

huge props man, congratulations on the work.

Definatly should have planned it out. It took me 2 weeks to do my swap, and thats only becuase i was working on it exclusively at night (due to work and school). It was me and 4 other friends (never all at the same time though, it was usually two people working on the car at a time). I had a to-do list with what needs to be done by the end of which day, etc...

Have some fun with it, change the oil within 1000 miles (you dont know what kind of crap oil the previous owner used, just to clean it out). Go for dyno tuning FTW, then track times :-D

Hey, have you tried the 40mph 2nd gear accelerator stump tyllies would talk about when he 1st did his swap? lol Cruise at 40mph, let go the gas and stump it!.... Man this used to light up my Z32 wheels. My borbets if its cold weather it'll do it (heavy wheels). So fun to do it while taking a friend "out to show off" lol

I'm not sure if i'll be able to hit 13's, times really suck due to high elevation, but we'll see.

I need to replace/check a few sensors on the car and then I'll take it to the track.
I ran a 14.8 on a bad MAF, bad O2 sensor, missing 3rd, and bogging out nasty in third... high 13's may not be to far-fetched

MAF sensor- replace
Rigth bank O2 sensor- replace
MAP solenoid- check

I ran a 13.8 untuned, 2.3 60ft, one bald tire, one snow tire, no weight reduction, and 3/4 full tank of gas... hehe

I used to use Royal Purple on the 3.0 and would change it out every two months.

I'm now using Mobil 1 because its a whole lot cheaper!
I used to spend 60-70.00 on the Royal Purple + filter and now I spend about 30-35.00

reason i ask is because im almost done with my swap....motor is already in.
the only thing that is puzzling me is the rewiring of the injectors, how to hook up the Adjustable Fuel pressure regulator and the throtle boddy including cables.....
i've seen pictures, but im not sure if that's good enough... will continue tomorrow.
do you guys have any tips? pics or links to help me on this besides the ones on the stickies?
