E-manage Blue vs VAFC II

Before you start to post EU please remeber not all of us have a lot of money to spend. That extra 300 is worth while for me.

Car: 98 max
MOds: Intake, exhaust(Y,CATBACK) , 00VI(using 00 injectors).
FUture: SC but still maintaining above mods.
Goal-210fwhp(NA), ~300fwhp FI safely - (in about a year)

Okay here is the thing after many sleepless nights and searches, i still need more info and things i am still confused on.

1. Can you adjust timing on the blue. I know you can retard but its kinda pointless on a NA car.
2.Without the support tool i am assuming i am still okay for now. I really am just trying to adjust for the 00VI injectors for now.
3. I know the VAFC is probably simpler to hook up but i read something about The EB need to solder diodes to prevent the coil packs from burning. Is this still the issue or is the firmware updated to stop that.

Scary thoughts

There really arent any EB hook up digrams such as the EU(credit dandymax) so i am a little skeptical on having to tackle the hook ups and trouble shooting without the org for help.
Verdict

Right now i am leaning towards the EB but i just want to here from the experts on here. Please dont BS i am Just need any info that can be posted or links that can help.

Thank you

Can't help too much but here ya go.

Greddy's website and EMU/EMB PDF's

From the little I've learned about the EB, seems as if you can still alter fuel trimmings much more precisely vs the VAFC.

I have both but installed the VAFCII due to its simplicity versus the Blue.

I have been wondering a few of the same questions. I do know its fuel adjustments are much better than the VAFCII.

I'm not sure if its able to adjust timing even with the new firmware.

From what I've been hearing there is no soldering needed in order for it to function, but dont take my word for it.

the dials on the front of the Blue need to be configured for out cars " 7 0 3" is the setting Greddy told me when I called for the first three dials on the front when you remove the plate That is for the A32 VQ30DE.

I had both and would go with the VAFC II for simplicity. I wouldn't go anywhere near the timing with the blue(your risk). It won't advance timing but does have a 16x16 map with the support tool. Without the support tool it's worthless, also you have to hook it up to the computer to adjust. The VAFC II can be adjust in the car on the unit. You lose a little on the map but you make up alot with the ease of use and lack of computer.
