00VI Help, AGAIN!!

Ok, so i take advantage of this B-E-A-utiful day and go do a "check-up" on the UIM & LIM.... I discover that the VIAS cup has a LITTLE play(could that have been causing a problem? I will be fixing it though) AND 6 out of the 12 holes in the LIM (where the swirl control valve rod was) were open, the motor pulled the JB WELD OUT!!! It might have been a little oil in the hole to cause the JB to not stick but, dayum.... also, i have oil residue between my gaskets, LIM & UIM and inside the LIM runners.... what does this mean and is there ANY alternative to the JB Weld? I used the regular, "mix-yourself" package..

Thanks,
Aaron

JB weld is about as good as it is going to get. I would take the LIM off and clean it THOROUGHLY, then re-apply regular JB weld (not JB qwik or the stick stuff). You absolutely must let it set the recommended amount of time or preferably longer.

As for the oil, I'm not sure. I'll let someone else chime in on that.

I'm with Pat. Take it off, clean and reweld. I have some oil in the seal around the tb as well. Never looked into it really. Should be a problem. Check the VIAS as well, jb might have come off.

You can take it to an aluminum welder and get it welded.
