I just confirmed with Nissan FAST and DAVEB that the VQ35DE REVUP valve retainers are the exact same part number as the VQ35HR valve retainers.

NEW retainer part# 13209-AC700 VQ35DE (REVUP), VQ35HR

OLD retainer part# 13209-6N200 (VQ35DE)

Get pricing from Dave Burnette or your local Nissan parts department.

Very nice, I've no doubt they can handle the job of an aggressive cam at 7500.

sorry, i dont know why i keep getting confused.

so part number is the same. but what is new and old retainer part number? is old the vq35de (fwd)? and the new the rev up/hr?

new=HR/revup
old=VQ35DE all except revup

If you could excuse my newbie'ness to this field, I have a question.
Double shim what? I got lost there. I understand what a shim is, and what coil bound is, but whats the gain of double shimming? Where is the shim placed?
