Fuel injector question

Hey guys, I got my hands on a set of 12 injectors from a 2006 LandRover Range Rover Sport. It's the 4.4L V8 model, and I test fit the injectors in the VQ35 fuel rail, and they fit almost perfectly, they just sit a little bit higher.

I was wondering how big these are. I've been looking all over for the specs for these injectors, and can't find how much they flow. If anyone has access to Alldata, could they let me know?

And if it helps, the engine is almost identical to that of the 2006 Jaguar XJ8/XJR.

Thanks,
-Freddy

S/C'd version?

Either way, it wouldn't matter much if you had a way to monitor the AFR and adjust accordingly since you've already verified that they do fit.

So, is there a reason why you picked these up vs something known (cc)? Couldn't beat the price?

Also, keep in mind, standard fuel injector rating is @ 3 bar.

try PM'ing bewstaddict, you may have some luck if they are Bosch units.

The 4.2L is the SC'd one. The 4.4L is the NA 300hp V8.

If I do put these in, I'd at least like to know what they flow, so I know if I can even adjust using a SAFC or similar.

I couldnt beat the price - free.

Theyre not Bosch, they're Denso and they also have a Ford logo on them.

If it's any consolation, I looked at the 3.0 injectors, and the Range Rover injectors have twice as many outlet holes.

I should mention my friend works for Land Rover, and he's stumped. My only saving grace would be if Alldata had the specs. If not, I guess I'll have to have them flow tested.

Why go through that trouble and have them tested? Unless it's easy/painless and you have access to all the required hardware.

I'd get them in, and monitor AFR.

So, is there another reason why you cant use your existing units?

Why wouldn't you be able to adjust? You think the SAFC window of adjustment isn't enough? There is a member here running ~450cc @ 3.5 bar, N/A, and was 'tuned' w/ a SAFCII. That and you could turn down FP if anything.

At this point, a wb seems like the next best investment.

Try PM'ng bewstaddict anyhow

why not contact our friendly .org fuel injector experts and see if they can tell you what they flow based on the part number? they may have dealt with these injectors before, can't hurt to ask.

Hey tavarish, can't find anything in AllData for the '06 LR RRS 4.4 as far as the fuel injectors go. Was going to look up the Jag, but the XJ only has the 4.2 in SC and NA. With the 4.2 NA, I still don't get any injector specs as far as flow rate. it just has injector pulse vs rpm, and what sets the different DTCs for fuel delivery.

EDIT: Hell, I just looked my Max up and I don't see any flow figures for our injectors either.

Hmm, If it's an M62 then it's the BMW unit. But the other, which he stated coincides with the Jaguar is the AJ-V8 Someone come in and me.
