Its not that I didnt read.... I read these previous remarks... and got confused somewhat;

That patch harness will only work with Z33/G35/A34 ECU's. Contact eng92. He has an EU installed with his A33B ECU.

To the original poster, make sure you get Greddy's #2 injector adapter. If not, the engine will run rich even when no corrections are made. If you don't feel like spending $19 ( ) I suppose you could tune it out manually. I'd prefer not to, personally.

Well I have been looking more into getting an emanage for my max.
I found out that there is a version E out now that has alot of the bugs fixed that existed on the first version.
Question though is the cold start harness needed or is that optional?

I'm not trying to sound like a fukin newbie, but I guess I'm coming off as that. But its cool... I'm not gonna bother asking anymore... just go thru trial and error. Thanks again..

Patch harness = plug and play harness where you don't have to do any cutting or splicing. It doesn't apply to A33B ECU's since they don't make a patch harness for it.

This is an injector adapter the people with VQ35 ECU's need to get if they don't want to run rich even with zero corrections. Either that or tune the richness out manually.

No one really mentioned the E-manage Blue. It's safe to assume that w/e is mentioned in this thread applies to the Ultimate, since that's what the original post is about.

See, Merlyn's A33B runs perfectly stoich closed loop, but down into the 12's (sometimes 11's) at heavy throttle, this is supposed to correct that? Also have noticed that when we connect the laptop, it seems to richen up a tad, at the very least the exhaust note changes a little (subtle, but noticeable...).

It's supposed to correct any and all unwanted AFR changes.

So you are saying that the injector adapter for the vq35 is a must?
What happens if you are not using that?

It's not absolutely necessary. All I'm saying is that without it there will be some unwanted AF changes that may be dialed out manually (to a certain extent).

It's not required, your car will just run richer apparently.

For ~20 bux, I'd spring for it. Then again, I like to nip things in the bud.

Too add to pmohr's posts... We have since turned on auto tune, and now the car runs 14.5 unless under 70% throttle, which is now set to 13.5. I will be sending the EU back to Greddy next week as I stated mine has a problem, and after that we hope everything turns out ok...

Simply put... I have Emanage Ultimate, The Extended Harness... a lot of solder, Electrical tape, and a hack job Option Harness from my LM1 to my Emanage. All is running well, with no problems. However before we set Autotune up, the car would seem to miss at idle, but with autotune constantly running (I don't care to hear your opinions of how that is bad) we have had no problems what so ever.

Yeah, IceY2K1 is one, Mike's probably talking about Jeremy and there are a couple more, I just can't think of the screen names right now.

The 5th gen + EU is no problem though, much more similar to the 4th gen than the A33B ECU.
