I have edited it. Thanks for being picky.

is there even the POSSIBILITY of buying this without the anodized finish if the buyer says they clearly understand it will scratch but just want a lower cost?

Yes, I can sell you the non-anodized prototype if you want. But I would HIGHLY suggest going with the anodized finish, which should only cost $3 more than the non-anodized piece. The durability and finish are drastically improved with the silver anodized process.

If you have any thoughts or suggestions, please feel free to let me know.

only a $3 difference? wow, then yeah the annodizing would be worth it. i would be more in the market for a 25-30 product. obviously, your peice is of higher quality than that so i will likely have to make my own...as i dont want a diamond plate appearance on the end of my mani

I may decide to make a cost efficient piece that doesn't include the NWP Logo, chamferred edges, tumbling, polishing, bead blasting, or anodizing. It would simply be a cleanly cut CNC Machined 1/4" piece of 6061 billet aluminum. I could probably make this for around $35 including the properly sized flange bolts, a vacuum cap, installation instructions and NWP decals.

What do you think? Is this something you would be interested in? If not, what kind of plate are you looking for exactly?

Aaron, I personally would choose the plain-vanilla version. All that beautiful work would be lost in an engine compartment that only a mother could love.

After all, it's not that hard to gut the OEM part and plug the shaft opening. Your version would be a step up from that, and would look more professional - not that anyone would see it with a casual glance.

You would still see it in the engine bay. There are a lot of people that like to dress up their engine bay and they would vouch to have the nicer one. But for those that don't want to gut their stock unit, they can just always get the plain one.

I hope to have this piece available late next week.

I'm not sure what you are asking. I am not going to powder coat anything.

im having mine powdercoated. The IM is sitting at the place waiting on this part. So i was just wondering would it be better for me to not have it anodized because im getting it powdercoated anyways.

I can sell you one of my non-coated or bead blasted prototypes. But I don't recommend getting this piece power coated. The areas inbetween small parts of the logo are VERY tight. I'm scared it won't look good or it may goop up.

I am going through GREAT lengths to make this a finished piece that won't need any other types of finishing. You can do what you want with the piece once I am done, but I highly recommend leaving it the way it is.

i think this is a great idea. something for the cheap skates and something for those who know beauty. i personally would still go for the cheap one because thats all i really need, but i know the other piece is much nicer still and other people would love that

Not quite. I haven't gotten a final pricing breakdown on my costs just yet. But it's still expected to be right at $60. More than likely, that's what the price will be.

Every VIAS Plate Kit will come with a beautiful silver anodized 1/4" 6061 Billet Aluminum VIAS/SSIM Block Plate, 3 shortened Grade 10 Zinc Plated Flange Bolts, VIAS Removal and Installation Instructions, a VIAS Vacuum Cap, and of course NWP Engineering vinyl die cut decals.

A little update, I hope to have these ready for sale before the end of this week! I will have pictures added within the next few days of the new silver anodized finish.

You can still see the plate no problem. But in your picture, the wiring harness will prevent you from seeing the entire NWP Logo. It's ok. The plate will still work and look nice on your intake manifold.

The NWP Engineering VIAS/SSIM Block Plate is now available for sale! The production batch turned out beautifully! The silver anodized plating really gives this piece a clean look and allows it to be very durable to resist scratches and corrosion! The price has been set at $60 plus $6.00 shipping via insured USPS 2-3 day Priority Mail.

To place your order, please visit:

http://www.nwpengineering.com/Phenol...cers.html#VIAS

Here are a couple pics of the 6061 Billet Aluminum Silver Anodized VIAS Block Plate:

Those that would like to order the VQ35DE Thermal Intake Spacer Kit along with the VIAS Block Plate, I have decided to do FREE shipping on this combo purchase for a limited time.

I am going to step out of the office for the next several hours. But, I will be back tonight in order to answer any questions you may have. And as always, I am truely grateful for all your support!
