Need some help with 3.5 build!
I posted this in the all motor section to get help with the motor build as it say for internal talk on the sub forum!
ok Guys I got one last thing I want to do to the max before I start with my 300z .
Ok I want to do it this way to keep cost down and to get the install as easy as possible and not have to change all hose and pipes( im boosted)
Ok I search but did not find any soild anwsers!
Ok I got A 3.5 block from a 5.5 gen. I want to do forged bottom end! I want to use pathfinder heads to keep the 00vi so I want have to change wiring, vacums hoses or piping. I heard that the pathy has better angles on the valve for boost anyhow. But I seen some problem godfather had with using them. Can anyone explaine what happen! Ok im wanting to do some 9.5 or maybe 9.1 pistons. Where is the best place to sorce them. On head and intake im going to port the **** out of them both. Im going with some type of turbo cam not sure yet on that yep. maybe some jwt units with springs I want to set up for a 7500 to 7800 rev. Im looking to run about 23 -27 psi on this motor which im guess around 600whp. If not then what ever it is it is. Im going to be running my hx35 to do this. I see dsm's making 500whp on 2.0 l's with about 25-30psi. from the hx35 with a 9cm exhaust housing and I have 12 cm.
1st what the least exspensive best pistons and rods to use im looking to get 9.5 ration
2nd will the pathy heads work with a maxima 3.5 block if so do I need to do any thing for it too work.

Arias(spell?) are good pistons. The pathy heads should bolt on fine, compare the head gasket part numbers.
Cams: the pathy cams are like vq30 cams so keep that in mind when you are getting spacers and ****

Most inexpensive piston/rod is Wiseco and Eagle. more than enough to handle your goal. Pistons i got them for $600 shipped, from Ravspec, rods were about $400 shipped (bought local but goes for 440shipped on ebay), they got different options for compression. i went with 8.8:1. btw im also using your same turbo with same 12cm, I'm more than confident its enough for our goals. Like kevlo says Arias are great, but also overkill, those are usually for 1000hp goals and etc..

Look on the Z/G forums for some pistons/cams as well, you can find some sweet deals every now and then. Make sure you get the crank/pistons/rods balanced when you do the installed.
If you have the money, try to swap in the HR valvetrain. Also don't forget to get a Revup oilpump
