TPS problem

Well today, i decided to run an OBDII scan in my car today and check a few things out. While i was monitoring the Throttle percentage, I noticed that at WOT, the OBDII reads 88% throttle. So i check my cable, Butterfly was all the way open. I checked the V-AFCII, it said 0.52*v closed and about 4.2v~ WOT for the sensor check. The graph showed 100% throttle but the OBD was still reading 88%.

Now my question is, could i possibly have a bad TPS and the VAFC is just reading wrong, or could the OBD scanner be off?(98% i could expect, but 88%?)

On my 03, I get 4.12V @ WOT. SAFCII read 100% throttle. FSM points out the same thing(@ WOT, voltage range is given, and 4.12v is acceptable to consider WOT). I wouldn't worry.

o.ok.. I understand that part. But i was wondering pretty much if the VAFC was correct or the OBD was, kind of confuses me, Dont know which one to go by.

The voltage dictates what they read (VAFC/OBDII), so they're both right, but they are 'tuned' differently. By tuned I mean that they consider x% @ different voltages, i.e. anything greater than 3.75v = 100% on the VAFC, and the OBD may be tuned to read 100% @ 5v.

That's normal, my obd-II always reads about 90-92% at WOT for some reason, and that's on like 50 cars not just 1.

I just posted this in another thread in the 4th gen section. Mine reads about 92% at WOT. I'll adjust it eventually, but it's not really a priority especially since I have no changed settings on my VAFC yet
