they can tune almost any nissan, they just havent had any maximas in there.
my friend has a 5.5 so maybe i can get him to take his too.
i am not just using their products, they are totally unlocking and tuning my ECU, i will be able to switch maps at the press of the cruise control button...

The data logging unit works with the 5.5 gen, but nothing else, I though we've been through this?
If the Altima is post 04 (IIRC) then you're golden, since the ECU will be just like the A34.

Seems like this has been discussed. It will work for the A34s, but the A33B ECU doesn't have enough memory to store the osiris software (straight from rick...). Easy way to tell is the ECUs with the rounded connectors = works, square connectors = fail. This goes for other vq35 nissans/infinitis as well.
UTEC + Vmanage or full standalone are the only viable options for the 5.5 guys to have 100% tunability.
edit: also for reference to you guys who CAN use this... save yourself the trouble and pay the 900 bucks for the full tuner package... That way you can tune/flash on your own with the fully unlocked program.

I am still here just havent made the trip, I havent even tuned my UTEC yet.
just running off of the 350z map, just installed my SSIMw/spacers and two step colder plugs.
I had to purchase tires and that put me behind, not only that but my ac and Bose headunit went out. Eith the ac its just the low pressure line, easy fix.
I am sure there will be a few months before I make the trip to Austin.

UPDATE....
i was mentioning my plans in another thread a few months back but have decided to post in this thread..
I am sending my ECU off to uprev tomorrow, they need to figure out the RAM they need... They will be sending it back the same day... Right now I have my UTEC for sale because I have decide to go this route and maybe another, if I ever learn how to tune, in the future.. Buy my UTEC peeps, it comes with alot of stuff... Anyways, it will take them a couple of weeks to get the RAM and everything situated and at that point, 4-5 weeks from tomorrow, I will be taking my car to Austin to get it tuned...
I will try and get my friend in the Max to come too...

was at uprev for most of the day yesterday...
naturally aspirated 248 was the best dyno on the stock ecu.. with their tune we got it up to 261 naturally aspirated, not bad...
was having some nitrous issues so did not get to spray.
my stock ecu now has 5 maps on it: n/a premium tune, n/a low octane tune, just in case i am somewhere without 93 oct., 100 shot tune, 125-150 shot tune, and two step function..
being that we did not get to run the nitrous we did not get to see the a/f on a nitrous run.. as a result the fine tuning was not done for nitrous, bummer. basically all that he did on the nitrous tunes was run the n/a tune with the same a/f and retard the timing.. the a/f is one of the most important factors here so I am pretty pissed about this problem. I will just log them on my own after I get everything figured out with the nitrous.
