Aluminum 16Ga for dual exhaust?
Planning a dual 2.5" exhaust in the 4th gen forum, didnt get an answer for this, so. Quite simply, can aluminum tubing handle the heat, gases and pressure of an exhaust?

i wouldnt do it. I ASSume it can handle the heat and pressure.
Reason I wouldnt do it is because if u need to do any work to your exh, good luck finding some1 that can weld ALUMINUM, remember its not that easy to do. ALSO, all the majority of exh components, like o2 bungs, resonators and mufflers, are made of steel. Sooo... have even BETTER luck finding some1 that can make a strong weld bet'n aluminum and steel.
Too much if a hassle for nothing, just do s/s and save yourself the headaches

You bring up good points. I was looking at pricing for 2.5" aluminum vs 304 SS, and the SS was more expensive and 3 times the weight.
Putting aside the welding issue, I read, and want someone to confirm or deny, that the exhaust gASS will kill the aluminum... anyone?

exhaust gasses are acidic. aluminum doesn't like acid and will corrode.
it also doesn't hold up well to salt, and in Daytona Beach, I'm goign to bet you get a decent amount of salt in the air.
stay with stainless and take the weight penalty.
