Weird MAP Sensor/ Engine Problems
My car is a 3.5L 4th gen. It is all on 4th gen timing and ecu. The VI is not hooked up and is permanently set to high end. I moved my 75 shot over to the 3.5L and everything had been going good. The spark plugs always checked out good. Anyways, a week or two ago I was racing and I started spraying in 2nd. When I made the shift into 4th my car started making a loud whistle noise and I pulled over. When I put my hand under the intake, I was leaking fuel from the short ram piping. I come to find out my buddy who helped me install, drilled a hole in the coupler and decided to cover it up with a small strand of duct tape. Unfortunately he never told me this and the duct tape busted off. Im sure this caused everything to go out of whack on the car. The next day I bought a new coupler but the car runs like crap. It had 2 cels P1105 (MAP/BARO Solenoid Valve) and another for the MAP sensor. I went home and realized the MAP sensor (boost sensor) was missing completely. I pulled these parts off my other car and the codes went away, yet it still ran like ****. Yesterday I went and checked codes again and P1105 showed up again. I read the fsm over and over again and I am out of ideas. Someone please help me out here. I have NO idea what is going on with the car. I know this involves nitrous but I feel that this forum fits better, seeing as it is some kind of motor problem.
Thanks

You could have blown your maf during that intake backfire, a classic move from fuel puddling and is why your map sensor and duct-tape went flying. But check to make sure that you're not sucking in unmetered air from some were else, or any other vacuum leaks (Hint: pcv valve) Or that your fuel selenoid isn't sticking open or activating.
