Confused: IM ssim, kinetix, Pelnum?

So since you guys have told me to search for on my350z.com for parts that I can possibly use on the VQ35 4th gen. I've come across this ad:

http://my350z.com/forum/engine/41787...at-prices.html

now after looking at this, and recalling a Kinetix IM for altimas and maximas. I decided to search the forum for more info. The last post or recent post seemed to be some time in fall of last year.

Do these work? Or am I better off doing the 350z IM ?
I'm trying to comprehend what it takes to do the SSIM, and what advantages it has over the 350z im. Alot of what I read suggest that mods would help in gaining some HP, and that a tune would be the best to get the most out of the system. I'm looking for HP at all RPM levels. Whats the most appropriate IM for my setup? Should I have a extended rev limiter? This is where I'm confused most, i've seen some guys like Jime, Meximax, and a few other running with the 350z manifolds.. I dont mind choppin up the hood for clearance. But I want a all around IM... The car is basically running N/A with nitrous in the future.

Current Mods:

Cattman headers
Full 2.5 Exhaust (with e-cutout)
JWT S1 Cams
Short Ram Intake

Mods for the coming months:

NWP Spacer
UDP
Innovate L1 Wide Band
Suprastick
SAFC or E-Manage ???

if you guys help me out.. I'll be some beers...

I still have yet to see proof that those Kinetix IMs will give you any gains, not too mention I have yet to see any proof that doing a 350z plenum is worth it.

Someone did comparison between an SSIM and just VIAS blockoff plate. From what I read there is no added advantage to doing the SSIM over removing just the VIAS rod. So just doing the block off plate from NWP is best for now, unless someone else can proof otherwise with the other options

If you want more power, 3" catbacks have also been proven to be a good power adder

I saw the comparison charts of the stock, ssim, and the vias blockoff. I'm confused as what is the VIAs plate block off is. Is it something all 3.5 have (i thought it had to do with people running the VTC)? I sound soo stupid, but I'm not car sauvy. Heck.. 3" catback i can do.. wouldnt it be overkill for my N/A setup? Maybe with nitrous not as much

3" is not overkill for the VQ motors, 12-15whp on NA motors.

VIAS is a rod inside the IM the opens at a certain RPM to allow for more air flow at higher RPMs. VIAS block off plates can be installed with ease, in a matter of minutes.

I have yet to see actual, factual gains from the Kin. SSIM. Until then...my theory = gains, if & only if you have an extd rev limit.

If you have TS + SSIM, then, you're fine, but until then. .

Of course it's an option.

Let's review class:

F- Spec =
Z33 CVTC
7100 Rev limit on stock internals
13.5 AFR upon WOT...

Does anyone here need me to link my post?

So then if I did go with the Technosquare Ecu what "version" would I get ?? the L spec ? Would I need to dyno the car before hand, and give them the info so they could "work" with my settings and how my car is running?

Would I still need to run some sort of piggyback?

What I plan to dyno the car before and after a part is installed. My only problem is I'll be spending little bit more money doing this. But I feel that it would be note worthy to see what actual gains I have gotten or lost.

This car is for you guys to mold man... throw me some ideas, its autotragic but this car is just gonna be for track use, and slight DD.

If the SSIM is something I can do myself, then I'll get another IM and make it the SSIM.

NmexMAx could you post link please

From what I understand, that's the only option really to get the potential out of the Z33 IM. Unless you can some other way to manipulate the CVTC maps to something comparable to those of a single stage IM.

Add a spacer to the Z33 IM and the results would be even more dramatic. Stock FWD CVTC maps.
