3.5 heads on a 3.0 block?

Based on the mods I have, would this be beneficial? Would I have to use a 3.5 intake manifold also?

I looked at the FSM and it seems like a straight fwd swap (exception would be putting in my cams possibly and HR valve train). Heads are going for $100cdn.

It can be done, and IIRC it has been done

but your compression will drop...ALOT.

My personal opinion...I don't care much for heads that don't line up with the cylinder walls...just seems like a bad idea.

Drops compression for boost. You will lose power n/a.

DAMN, another sign I should go FI lol. Just recently had a chance to pick up turbo hardware (minus the snail) for dirt cheap and I passed on it!

3.5 combustion chambers are already ineffiecient as far as knock supression goes. If you factor in the fact that the diameter of the 3.5 c/c's is wider than the 3.0 block you have a detonation-prone combo. I'd do some headwork on the 3.0 heads instead if you're worried about flow or dished pistons if a reduced C/R is what you're after.

Terrible idea IMO.

Take doublea's porting as an example of the most extreme you should do on 3.0 heads.

Or just leave the 3.0 heads stock and boost it since you can make enough power on stock 3.0 heads to break motors and transmissions every day of the week. Put the money into a proper turbo setup and tune instead of throwing money at the motor when it doesn't need it to make more power than likely will ever want anyways.

why can't you do nit like the honda civic mini me engine on the v tech y16z head and the lower hours power block of the 94 civic you can swap if you remove oil regulator from non v tech block to get the need oil to the head to gain compression that also turns the non v tech in to a v tech with a v tech head and adds to sqelch area.

is thare a oil reg in the block to the head of a nisson maxima or in the block to the pan like a toyta?

This "Honda language" of which you speak sounds more like baby babble.

And you can run it off of a v-tech standalone

and tune it with a v-tech programmer
