3" crush bent exhaust on VQ30?

Would it be worth it over a 2.5" crush bent system? The butt dyno noted a much stronger low-mid range pull going from stock to 2.5". People are making more power with 3.0" exhausts on stock H22s (2.2L 200HP motors) over 2.5" exhausts. I figure the VQ could only use more help. I'd prob couple it with a custom Y-pipe. Worth it or not? I think they would cost the same for me.

A 3" crush bent exhaust > 2.5 Crush bent on a modded VQ.

Sweet so that is that then. I knew the VQ35 dudes were making nice power with the 3" pipes so yea this makes sense.

2.5" to 3" megaphone off the back of the Y pipe collector will make you smile or just fit a 3" system at the first flange which should still give a decent gain.

Should be no problems with a crush bent system f you not chasing every horse.

If you can't find someone with a mandrel bender (very likely) just buy some 3" bends off summit or jegs. Then take them to an exhaust shop and have the guy cut and weld everything up.

Meh I think crush bending will be good enough.

3" bends with cutting and welding still introduces a lot of turbulence, as the welding protusions inside the pipe etc along with the extra labor charge for the effort of welding it up makes it a questionable 'gain' over crush bent for the price. Especially on a N/A car

My guy charged me $150 to weld up the exhaust. Seems pretty reasonable to me.
