6 speed in 4th gen VSS
OK, so I ordered an Altima speed pinion gear for the 6 speed trans, but I cant find a harness/plug to fit it. I downloaded the fsm for the Altima and I know the plug is F36, its a gray 2 prong (GY/2) but other than do a midnight run @ a local yard (wreckers are rather reluctant when asking to butcher a harness that could be potential $ intact) how would I go about getting this plug or otherwise making this connection?

It is an odd shaped plug.
If you wanted a temporary fix, ECU plug pin sockets will clip onto the VSS pins nicely Bit of black PVC tape to seal it up and it should atleast get it working until you track down the correct plug.

I used the very short sub-harness from the VSS on a 00/01 max (only two connectors F113/F111) when I did my 6MT swap.
If you cannot find one at a wrecker, they are about $25 at the dealer the last time I checked.

You are assuming that everyone doing this swap already has an A32 VSS
I sold my 5MT with the VSS installed.
In my case, it was easier and cheaper to get a harness to fit the sensor that was already in the 6MT.

I had my car tested at autozone because my car kept cutting off and the check engine light came on. They said that the crank shaft and the speed sensor was going out. After replacing the crank shaft sensor the car is still cutting off so I need to know where the speed sensor is located.

Back of the transmission near the firewall
My Vehicle Speed Sensor is just lower than the centre of this picture, usually has a 10mm bolt holding it in place. Need to wiggle it a little to get it loose from the speedo drive gear splines.

Try to do some research if there are good Vehicle Speed Sensor that are available in the market if ever you need to change it. So far, locating it is just like what posted above, or depends on the car's made or location (not sure on that one). But try to check out other options for that one.
