01 DEK motor swap cold start issue ?

Hey guys, its been a while since ive posted, im wondering if anyone has fixed the cold start issue with the dek manifold/motor swap into the 4th gen maxima. This is the problem, on days that get to around 30-40 degrees and lower when i turn the key to the start position it starts right up but doesnt stay running this only happens on thef irst start up for the day. Any day below 40 degrees causes the car to have trouble on the first start up for the day. I have to give it some gas for a few seconds and then it will idle/ drive fine for the rest of the day. Does anyone have a fix for this ? I havnt really looked into it its been a year or two since ive done the swap. Im really hoping there is a fix or maybe something i can do to get rid of that cold start issue

Tried looking through the links in the stickies but all the links are busted. Whats better to use 4thgen IACV , or 5thgen iacv ?

The 4g tb has a mechanical cold start valve to bypass the butterfly under those conditions. The 5G has programming in the ecu to command the iacv more under those conditions.

The tps & leaks should be double checked, the 4g iacv should be adjusted as per the fsm, nothing else. Ignore the cold start, or toggle switch a solenoid to bypass the butterfly w/metered air, maybe even get creative and use a temp switch. It's as simple as that I think. Use jets in the vacuum line to fine tune.

Here's what I came up with to deal with the cold start issue on my 3.5 swap:

I grafted the cold start plunger & modified linkage from the 4th Gen TB on to my Pathfinder TB.

Granted it was a lot of trouble and would take some keen fabricating skills (I'm kissing my own butt here ain't I?) but it works great.
