COIL Testing?!?!

Hey guys,

I know there's been some debate in the past about testing coils for a de-k. Is there any ABSOLUTE way to tell that a coil is BAD if the misfiring is INTERMITTENT? I have such an annoying misfire that happens so randomly I cannot figure out which coil it is. I need to solve this problem so I can get my car inspected and on the road!!!!!!

So if anyone has successfully tested their coils with a random misfire like me, let me know. Until then I'll be dreaming of installing my turbo.

Last time I checked all my coils were about the same. My problem is that I think the misfire is happening under load. Is that even possible?

Could something else than a coil give me random misfires? I have all new plugs and a new maf.

It's possible for a coil to only misfire under a load

If you have a heat/temp gun make the car misfire and measure the temp on each header. When you find one that why cooler then the rest there it is
