Took the latest project out for it's maiden voyage today.. It's a VQ35 swapped Spec V, with a light pressure (7.5-8psi), meth injected turbo setup..

The tune needs work (next week), but, I put a few miles on it, and my buddy grabbed a few quick videos, so, I threw a little something together with a few pics/clips.
Pretty cool.. it spins the drag radials at 40mph.. lol..
It's recorded in 720HD, so, make sure to click on the HD link..

Enjoy.. More to come, soon!

Yup.. That's exactly what my customer wanted. He wanted people to look at it, and think that it was just another Sentra, with a lowering kit and nothing done to it.
Depending on how quiet I can make it, I think it's mission accomplished.

I like the non intercooled + meth setup... I bet it spools quick with such little piping to pressurize.
We are flashing the ECU, and the fuel system has been converted over to a return style setup to add fuel pressure to compensate for manifold (differential) pressure.
The BOV is external, but, I have it set pretty tight, so that it doesn't make a ton of noise. The wastegate is external, and has about 2ft of tubing, with a few bends. It will make some noise, but, it shouldn't be crazy loud.. and, it'll only do it once the car is in boost.
I haven't really tried higher gear, sustained pulls, but, I noticed that it starts making boost at about 2K rpm in 2nd/3rd gear, with 8psi coming at 2500-2800rpm. It's VERY responsive, which was the original goal. The owner wanted a fast car, but, he wanted a very broad powerband, without the "whiplash" of boost onset that most turbo QR's provide. So, by making the exhaust tubing a little bit longer, leading up to the turbo, it gives us a slower transient response. By using a larger turbine, with a smaller compressor, it still comes on at a decent RPM, though. The short route from the turbo's discharge to the TB, helps with that as well.

Thanks.. Yeah, it helps that the transition from boost onset, to full boost, takes about 5-800rpm.. The fact that it's not on/off like a light switch gives the suspension/chassis and driver time to absorb what's going on. lol..

Travis, did your front mount change? The driveline angle is pretty severe on the pass side with the old style. You have to clearance the frame for the PS pump, but moving the motor, front side, back about 1.5 inches gets the axle to line back up and lessens the tq steer.
The mount is still the same, but, I've added reinforcement to keep the engine from rotating.
I will be working on a new mount setup to lower the engine, and eliminate the pivot point up front. Nothing major.. just have to lengthen/shorten a few things, and add a few more bolts/holes.

Took the car out this week for some datalogging, and tuning. While I do not yet have the ability to flash the 02/03 ECU myself, I am working with a company to get it just how I need it.
The car is VERY responsive.. and a blast to drive. I've logged about 50 miles so far, and although I haven't been banging gears (breaking in the clutch), I must say that it's a handful to drive. It makes boost at 2K rpm, on the highway, which is nice when wanting to pass someone without downshifting.
Everything is working as it should, thus far.. There is ZERO codes, and all emissions systems are in place/operating. I'll grab more footage when I get a chance..
