00vi swap gone wrong!!! need serious help

ok so a few months ago i decide to slap on this 00vi kit i had laying around, after removing the 4th gen valve covers, IM and fuel rail My back starts giving me hell!!! I had a work injury last december and I have a herniated disk! So then I decide to put it back together and sell the kit. A friend (columbianmax) from CNC(chicago nissan club) decided to come help me and we got everything back on. The battery was dead so he tries to give me a jump. The car cranks like all hell but it doesnt turn.

Get this, when the car is in ACC there is a weird buzzing noise comming from the engine bay. We try to find the source of the noise, and I found it comming from the bottom left side of the transmission oil pan. The car is auto.

I did drain all the fuel out by removing the fuel pump fuse.

The car was running perfectly fine before any of this... however it was knocking so I changed out the KS. I replaced all the bad ignition coils when the car was still running before i attempted the swap and had them on for over 1k miles.

I did replace the front fuel rail and the three injectors as well. I checked the OHMs and they all came out ok

can someone please tell me whats wrong with my 4th gen.

Check your grounds. Or add another one. This exact thing happened to me after a 00vi swap. Added another ground and it started right up.

Seems to be a fairly common problem.

buzzing is IACV or fuel pump pressuring up.

Is it REALLY loud? Check your fuel related fuses.

lol the fuses are back in... I checked all the fuel related fuses. The buzzing is loud and is causing minor vibration at the bottom of the trans pan. God damn 99 maxi's.

Do you guys think it could be the anit theft acting up?

Put the key in On position. Does the security light behind the headlight stalk stay Lit ON?

If so, bend over. Its time for a dealership *** raping.

If it doesnt stay on, ur good.

god dam it its staying on. I had Schaumburg nissan change out my ignition switch back in january. the only reason why i took it to a dealer is because of my injury. i had to stay laying down in an astronaut position almost all day

There's no way to disable NATS. Im tired of this bs. this is the third time in a year the key got jacked.

its not ur key. its the ecu. It loses its programming.

Mine was lost because i was messing with ecu WITHOUT the key in ignition. Triggered the NATS and when i kept trying to start it, it went into Lock Mode. (3 tries within 15 min i believe).

Sorry bud, tow it, and haggle with them. Tell them what you want and thats it. "I need my Nats reprogrammed to my keys; with Nissan Consult II.

talk to manager if they price you over 60$ for a 5 minute job of button pushing.

Yea, next time your car doesnt turn over, wait 15 minutes for the NATS to lose its Lock mode trigger.
3 failed tries with a "lost" or "empty ECU key programming" will lock it up.

It's only like $40 to get your key reprogrammed by a dealer. I did at Armory Nissan here in Albany when my NATS shat itself in the fall. Most dealers should be in this range. One of them here wanted like $85.

Just go in and tell them exactly what you need. They won't try to rail you if you sound like you know what you're talking about.

if lock mode did engage, does the dealer have to do anything else?

no. they have the only tool to unlock it, Consult 2.

They just have to plug it in, unlock it, reprogram ECU to your keys (not the other way around), and voila.

how do you check your ignition switch. Im betting that went bad again. I dont trust nissan stealer ships. The reason why i think its the ignition switch is because the car cranks and cranks but there is no fuel pulse. I thought that when the iMMU needs reprogramming it doesnt even let you crank. I know that the ignition switch in the 99's came with a Antenna booster in the ignition switch for the NATS. could i be wrong?

ignit switch doesnt let you crank. i thought when the ecu locks down it shuts down the fuel pump.
