shooting for 285whp-300whp n/a

I'm just kinda curious to see what some yal think. I'm trying to squeeze as much power out of this motor as I can without building the motor.

My current set-up:

Custom SRI
ObxV2 headers
3" test pipe
Cattman 3" exhaust
Jwt flywheel
SSIM
Nwp spacers
Lightweight pulley
Ported upper & lower I'm
BC stage 2 cams
TS F-spc ecu(7200 rev limit and Z33 cam timing)
NWP torque damper
POLY mounts
S-AFC

Lemme know what yal think...I just wanna see what people got to say. I'm about 90% sure I will be close to 300whp. I plan on gettin a meth kit and V-manage soon.

With an LR MAF you should be able to seal the deal. V-Manage too for sure.

i read that QMax from nycnissans.com hit 300 na.. i could be wrong though

so it's possible, goodluck!

but you'll need a exhaust cutout to get the car there..

Ditch the SAFC and get an Emanage Ultimate or UTEC so you advance some timing and get some real power out of the tune.

MAP/speed density tune, ITB's, longtubes, portmatching, higher rev increase (valvesprings, oil pump, rodbolts) - that oughtta do it if you can $$$.

I wasn't asking what I need...I was asking if anybody had any idea as to what I would make with my current set up

If you hit 300whp with your mod list, I surely hope I can surpass that goal easily with my list. That V-manage and LRMAF should give you a nice boost in itself!

The highest I've seen with a similar set-up(different ecu's) is 291

I think you will be closer to the 290 range but with the cutout, a/c delete, more timing along with the meth you should reach your goal

But I have a question what is the vmanage going to do over your TS F-spc ecu with Z33 cam timing, cause when I got my g35 tuned all playing with the cams timing did was shift the power band and extend hp/tq curve but it did affect peak hp

The only difference i see between your setups is high compression pistons.

Well that, ported heads, 5 angle serdi valve job, gen 3 cattman headers, shorter final drive, and a few other things to boot......

vq35 heads flow great out of the factory. A NJ HEAD job and "gen 3" headers are not going to make a huge difference if you both are reving to 7200... 8k rpms is a different story

Oh. My guess is about 265ish peak, depending on the dyno. Why is ITB's so hilarious? One of the few recorded FWD 3.5's to break 300 is equipped with em. Who else has done it? The Z guy's had to go inside, but they've got a little more drivetrain loss.

Z33 cam timing is most optimal for Z33 cams (which on the DE-Z are the same as on the 5.5 Maxima) and SSIM (since the intake manifold is similar to the Z33IM)

However when you switch to those BC 264s that cam timing is no longer optimal. I've read on my350Z about how one member played with cam timing on a DE-Z and Tomei 264s and his AFR went from 12.x to 14.x at WOT. That's a huge increase in airflow. It shifts powerband more than it adds power, (which is why anyone using Stephen Max adapters on a 3.5 swap/cammed DEK pays attention to the timing), but the fact that it improves breathing shows it will help peak numbers.

What's the setup on your G35, by the way?

Because of this.

291whp on stock MAF, stock heads, and ONE throttle body. And that Jenvey ITB setup is bloody expensive. And I bet you can play with the v-Manage to make your car run harder upstairs, because JayPee's car's powerband just stays the same from 6300 to redline using STOCK cam timing but BC cams.

Honestly though, seeing how much power 5.5s pick up with stock cams and 2.5" exhausts I bet you could hit 300whp SAE corrected on a DynoJet with LR MAF and a tune. The v-Manage would make your track slaughtering just that much sweeter
