Stuck on 6spd swap

Stuck on 6spd swap
so today was literraly the worste day ever... i have been going through work while trying to reach out to ppl that did the swap, taking calls from the shop while talking to other ppl, in the middle of working which was a huge crash... anyways i need help on whats the procedure step by step on getting the rear engine mount to bolt up to the transmission, the shop is telling me that there is some misc bracket that i need from the dealership, but as far as my knowledge goes i dont know of such part.... pics would definately help

It's in the top top part of my picture, I can go take another one, but I made the same mistake, I just brought the mount that goes to the frame and not the frame that goes onto the transmission, the 6spd mount is in two pieces not one like our old ones.
Luckily there was a wrecked 6th gen 6spd @ the local nissan J/Y, so I scooped it up for nothing.

I would just try to have a long talk w/ Dave B cause the online courtesyparts diagram is the same for all vehicles which makes it hard to pinpoint that exact part for the 6spd, I pm'd you some good pics of it though.

just so this thread can serve as a reference to others... when getting a manual transmission mount... the is 2 pieces to the mount... buying the mount you will most likely get the main piece but there is a bracket that goes between the transmission and the transmission mount...
if you cant find it at a Junk yard then you will most likely need to try the dealership...
Part # 11253N and ask them to pull up the engine diagram layout for a 02 maxima as it doent show the part on a 03 or its a different part number

so here is what it is... its not that the process of the swap has come to a full halt... its that the mechanics prefer to do it to where if i have to change transmission in the future it wouldnt be a major hassle
anyways for most that did the swap here is what i snapped a pic of (standing over the car from the driver side wheel) the bracket peice that is welded to the car already has to be cut... now what the tech is saying is that its a really close fit and he can probebly get it to work but if i ever had any transmission problems in the future then it may be a problem to get the bolts off mount as the new MT mount would have to be welded in place... hopefully somebody gets what im saying

I see exactly what your saying. Sure it can work if that shop is handy with custom metal work. I dont see why it wont work. It's probably just a matter of using the part of the 6 speed mount that houses the dampening material and making a new version of the 2nd piece you had trouble finding before.

Everybody else cut the original mount off and either welded or bolted the new one on. If you lived down here, I know someone that could have fabbed up exactly what you needed in an hour or so.

hmm... aakshun u seem like one of the guys ima have to bug every now and then... essential if push comes to shove ill ship both parts down there if he could... so ur saying cut the actual mount

not to keep nagging.. so that frame thats on the car will actually line up with the transmission and the mount and that othe misc bracket???... so where does the welding takes place... ive heard im gonna need to weld

If the car were down here, he could fab up what you need in no time. But he would actually need a car with a 6 speed tranny bolted up like you currently have yours. So he cant technically fab anything up for you without the car.

We get the part where we need to cut, now I'm gonna ask a question just in case it comes up........ isn't that part of the frame 1 solid piece?, how do u get to the other side to get a nut to screw on to the bolt?... maybe a dumb question as I'm not by the car right now, but if my memory banks serve correct then its a solid piece

Haha yeah. I guess I went a little overboard, 
Aackshun right though, just cut the sucker off. Two ways: disc grinder and have fun, or drill out the welds being careful not to go all the way through the frame. The first way is easier but could take longer.
