Hey guys. Has anyone run into an issue with their tachometer not working after swapping to the 6spd? I looked/searched everywhere I could think of to find info, but no such luck. My speedo works fine, and so do the rest of my gauges. I picked up a spare cluster from another '98 parts car and tried every combination under the sun to get it the tach to work (swapping the tach out, swapping the boards; and also using other speedo), but nothing doing. As far as I can tell from the FSM the tach gets its signal directly from the ECU. So that is my primary culprit at this point.
Before I go nuts and start tearing stuff up, is this a common issue? It doesn't seem to be detracting anything performance wise, but I would really just like to have a tachometer other than my ears (pretty good at guessing the RPM's though). Am I just overlooking a simple connector or something somewhere?
Any thoughts, insights, or direction would be great.

Tach signal is composed of.....
Coil Pack #1 -> ECU -> Speedo
Has nothing to do with the transmission, during your swap you must have messed with a wire or two you should not have.
Check to see if your gauge cluster is getting the signal, that will tell all.
