Idea for a custom intake manifold - looking for feedback

So I've been following the various custom builds going on in here and various other forums and i have an idea for a new manifold for my Maxima.

Above is my design, It will be a side feed using this
http://www.rossmachineracing.com/dplenum.html
as the main material for the plenum

I'm thinking ill use the base off an upper manifold i have laying around and weld some runners strait up as much as i can and still retain hood clearance

once the runners meet the plenum Ill have a slight bend probably around 20-30* for each runner alternating to the left and right so bank one will bend towards bank one and bank 2 will bend towards bank 2.

This will allow a full velocity stack with the close proximity the runners have to each other. So the bend will occur as soon as it enters the plenum and be as slight as possible while allowing the stacks to fit, they should stick up about 2" or so above the floor.

Velocity stacks

The throttle body will be mounted as high as possible on the end and at an angle best suited to give all runners an equal chance. Probably around 20*

There will be a taper towards the end to encourage better velocity for the back runners.

The site provided has some great pre-made stuff that should make this fairly cheap, and i have found velocity stacks for around 15-20 a piece which is pretty decent.

Im hoping to start the build after new years and have it ready for spring.
If anyone has any ideas for improvements or sees any glaring issues please let me know
