all motor upgrading, on a budget ?'s

ok, so i got my car back after 6 weeks on thursday afternoon, brand new racingline hi flow cats and a y pipe, and late last night while just cruising and enjoying the beautiful weather, car started hesitating, and blah blah blah long story short, looking like i probably spun a rod bearing, metal in oil, etc, so my questions are, what can i do to improve some performance while everything is torn down? obviously the cheapest and fastest way is a new motor swap and go, and perhaps build my other motor on the side over time, is that what you guys would do? or is there other things that can be done while everything is apart if i decide to just keep that motor in, and yea it would also depend on how far the motor is actually torn down, so any questions or info would be amazing!

current motor mods:
fujita CAI
NWP VIAS BOP
NWP 5pc intake spacer kit
racingline HFC's
racingline y pipe
JWT flywheel
JW HD clutch
JET MAF (not installed yet)

future/planned motor mods:
kinetix intake
NWP throttle body upgrade
grounding kit

Upgrading and on a budget in the same sentence? Just get a used engine and be done with it. Car parts dot com.

That's what I was thinking, only reason I asked was I was jw if there were any tricks or other oem parts that could be substituted to squeeze more power out..might just go j/y motor and build the old one on the side..this seems the cheapest and fastest way to get my car back in the immediate future

Altima V6 ebay headers would be a good addition. Installing them will not be the easiest job and you will need to get the car tuned to make the most out of them.

You can tune the car with uprev and delete CEL codes.
What are you going to tune the car with?

havent thought much about tuning, that would come after all the physical parts were in and such, thought about SFR's plug and play unit and harness:

thats the only actual tuning thing ive seen, haha, besides possibly an apexi neo or something, but the decision has been made, motor will be stripped down and cleaned up and rebuilt stock for now, the port work will be cleaned up a bit and it will get a good valve job and such, and i will just ride with that for now, should get me a decent amount of power just by doing that! haha

and ive decided i will just find a junk motor somewhere and slowly build it on the side, save for bits and pieces along the way and go all out

I would never consider building a motor that just had shards of metal circulating in the oil passages. Unless of course I loved building motors and wanted to do it again as soon as possible

Extended oil capacity spacer thingy?

The heads need to come off for the pistons to come out, so that's a no.
