REV-UP/HR camshaft bolt drill?

REV-UP/HR camshaft bolt drill?

I've seen a broken an HR cam before exactly where the original threads are, they're just asking you to drill deeper into the cam and tap the holes to accept a longer bolt.

Now as to why do this?

I guess for non HR cammed applications this is a good thing to do?

So if I use short bolts like the 3.0 then this modification is not necessary
