Apexi Neo Steps

Are these the right "steps"?

i) go through the initial apexi neo setup outlined in the manual
--- for setting range, rev: 8000?
--- Lo Thr - default
--- Hi Thr - default

ii) setup as 1 in / 17 out (due to the bigger injectors & 4" bbmaf)

iii) use the zeitronix zt-2 and gauge to get read out of the AFR up to redline (using the zeitronix software / cables).

iv) based on the zt-2 data aim for a "flat" curve keeping the afr between 13.1 - 13.5 all the way to red line. Should I use gear 2 or 3 for a manual 2002?

v) Make these corrections on the apexi neo

Is tuning only done in OPEN loop (30% throttle and after 3,000 rpm) because in closed loop the car ECU takes precedence?

one example...

3500 rpm -> 14.5 afr according to the zt-2

how do I make the calculation required to tell the Neo I want that to be somewhere between 13.0 - 13.5?

thanks

As long as you have a wideband that's accurate, it's no big deal.at all. Especially N/A. Go slow and smooth, but don't expect some big gains by miniscule Afr changes.

And, don't listen to guys that don't tune their own ****..period.

90% of the time, a piggyback is ill tuned also. Don't think because it does more, it's better. Usually its just more ability to **** **** up. If you're not big boost, or low manifold vacuum, a piggyback is not.necessary.

With that being said, quit wasting time and money, and just spray the Damn thing. 100shot trumps every bolt on, or tuning device you can throw at it......

Maybe it's different there, but here in Texas..it's no big deal.

It's obvious you are trying to be fast, but trust me, you're doing it wrong.
