Fuel rail diff. between DE / DEK rail.

So im doing a setup with my DEK motor which forces me to go back to a DE fuel rail and LIM. currently i have stock DEK injectors and DEK PSI regulator

1. I noticed on the DEK fuel rail, there are two fuel psi reuglators. One at the inlet and one at the outlet of the rail. On the DE. there is only one at the inlet. SO whats the diff.? I know the DEK is top feed and the DE is side feed but I dont see why the two psi reuglators as opposed to one.

2.

Also, If I am EU-ing at the time of the injector upgrade, do i need to modify the rail and get an adjustable fuel PSI regulator? OR can I just scale down the injector duty cycle/ pulse width etc. and keep the oem a32 psi regulator?

3.
Now that I have that figured out, HOW THE HECK DO YOU TAKE OUT THE INJECTOR from the rail? its like its glued in there or something. Is there any method that can be mentioned which will help in taking the injector out of rail.

Just to be clear your putting the DE fuel rail and LIM on a DEK motor with the 00VI.

No its a DEK motor, with a completely diff. manifold. that was originally made to work with DE LIM.

So whats the diff between the two fuel rails? aside from top feed/ side feed.

1.

Those are not two FPR's. The inlet one is a fuel damper because in 5th gens, the fuel filter is in the tank and for 4th gens it is closer to the engine. In a 4th gen our fuel filter acts as a damper.
The FPR ALWAYS goes on the outlet of the rail.

2.
You will likely need an adjustable FPR with an upgraded fuel pump if you are getting bigger injectors.

I went with the Walbro pump and a Nismo FPR.

3.
Twist and pull, it is easier when the rail is bolted down so you can pull harder.

If I'm correct I made the 2000 fuel rail look like the 4th gen fuel rail when I upgraded to the 00VI...I don't have any additional FPR with my EU and 600cc injectors. A FPR would be nice so you can control the injectors (closer to stock), but you can always lower the duty cycle of the injectors with the EU.

Oh sorry for the late post. BUT thanks for the above advice.
I will be going with EU. BUT for now I'm running
z32maf,vafcII,370cc,walbro, no FPR.

I'm making a patch harness for the EU... but yea...
on another note my soldering skills have progressed extensively since I had to chop up the main engine harness.

I modified a sr20det FPR to work on the 3.5 fuel rail. Fuel filter - Feed line damper - Rail - FPR - Return Line. The ratings for fuel pressure are the same as far as I've read. I'll take a picture tomorrow.

If I'm using 4th gen fuel filer and have the 5th gen damper on the rail as well is it going to cause issues?

use the 'damper' but don't feed it a vac source and it acts just like a straight-fitting.

haven't had a problem on 25+ 00vi/3.5L ruturn style swaps I've done. Tuning takes care of all other issues.
