Questions about vq35hr swap in my 2000 Maxima

I currently have a 2000 maxima with the 5 speed trans I was wonder if I can vq35hr swap it without swapping the trans to a 6 speed if not will a hr motor bolt right up to 5 speed trans?

Short answer yes, but youll need to convert the engine to 3.0 timing.
