Bose or Not???????

How can you tell if you have a Bose system VS the regular factory?

Would it just have Bose on the HU?

I have a 97SE, now I think I read somewhere that if it's a Bose system the tweeters are located in the trim pillars and if it's not it's located in the door panels?

I'm going to install a set of component speakers and I want to make sure I'm buying the right adapters....

Your help would really be appreciated....

Re: Bose or Not???????

Resistance It should say Bose on the HU and the speaker covers.

However, I would question why you are buying a set of components when you are going to run with the Bose HU? Those adapters that mess with the resistance kind of eat the sonic abilities of most speakers – especially components. If you are just doing the system one step at a time, I understand. But I would still say do it all at once.

If what your saying is correct I don't have the Bose setup I have the factory setup because nothing anywhere on my system says Bose. But I'm not doing a Bose setup, I'm going with after market products.
Anyway thanks for all your help....and I know what to buy now....
