Bose alternative

I know that Bose is a pricey option, and I'm sure there are other options that would provide better sound for the same money. Sorry I'm a newbie, but what would be a good alternative for a stereo, speakers, sub and amp?

I'm not exactly sure what you're asking here. If your thinking about adding aftermarket equipment to your stereo for better sound, then I STRONGLY suggest you go without the Bose option. Bose has made it a pain in the **** to add to their system without changing EVERYTHING.

If this didn't answer your question, just ask again and be more specific.

i think he was asking if he could do better than the bose system by replacing the stock system with an aftermarket one costing about the same as the bose option.

Yes that is what I was asking. I figured since many people out there have done this, I wanted to see which type of systems they went with.

I couldn't find just the Bose audio option, but the 2K3 Titanium edition is an extra $999 and you get:

Titanium Edition Package
Includes:
• Bose® AM/FM/CD6
• Front Seat Side Impact Supplemental Airbags
• Bright Wheel Finish
• Stainless Steel Sill Plates
• Floor Mats
• Accent Stiching on steering wheel, A/T shift **** and M/T shift boot
• Compass in Mirror

If you like Bose, I think it's a good price.
