Best amp to go with?

I posted about getting more subs but im just going to stick with what i got and upgrade my amps and interior speakers. Im going to get a 4 channel amp for my inside speakers and a 2 channel for my 2 10's. I just wanna know what amps to go with? I want them to be the same brand, I looked at the JL 300/4 at tweeter and they wanted $500 for it and i saw it online for $380. So i was wondering if there was another brand that would push my JL 10's really good?

thanks

For your interior speakers I would recommend Precision Power PP6600. I have one sitting in my room right now, in brand new condition and not in use. It is a 6-channel 600W amp and it is chromed up too.

Get in touch with me if you are interested.

Re: Best amp to go with?

There are a lot of good amps out there. JL amps are great, but if you're looking for a good sub amp, JL amps are a bit expensive. The price of the 300/4 is competitive because it puts out full power at 4 ohms. But for subs you would have to go with a 500/1, which will run you close to $400 as well. What kind of JL 10's do you have? One thing about buying JL equipment online is that you will not recieve the manufacturer's warranty. You really need to tell us how much you want to spend on both amps and what kind of subs you have. It's tough to recommend anything without the details.

Im temporarly (i know spelling) running my JL 300/4 to power 2 Infinity Reference 10's.
I did have a Bazooka EL1500 to do the job, but I sold it.
for the "200watt power difference", I have to say it isnt really a difference in loudness. Actually I think the JL might be louder than the Bazooka. I have noticed that lows come out bit more than they used to! It doesnt hit quite as hard though or atleast it doesnt feel like it.

within the first day that I had it hooked up I blew the inline fuse, the first time this has ever happened!

just funny.
I cant wait until i get my car wired correctly and get some better speakers upfront.

later

Amp Choice

Based solely on service, Rockford Fosgate. If you lose any of the necessary bolts or caps, they send you a whole kit free.

JL to RockFart ....there is no comparison. Sorry Rockford fans, I hate what they did in the past many years. Ive personally dropped selling their line. If someone really wants it, then I can still get them, but I just hate to do it. No endorsement for RF from me.

BTW like posted earlier, with online sales of JL like many other brands there is no warranty.

I believe that with the publicity that they recieved in the past, they lowered the quality and kept, if not raised, their prices. Alot of companies do this, so its not an uncommon thing, but I also feel they are extremely overrated with the younger generations.

Price to quality ratio....not worth it.

Please bear in mind this only MY $.02

Well, you'll want to take your subs out of your box and find out exactly what you have and go from there. It's tough to pick out an amp if you don't know what kind of subs you have.

Exactly. There older stuff was of a lot higher quality that their new stuff. They are making a ton of money off their name. If you like RF look into Lightning Audio (owned by RF). Pretty much the same quality but the price is a lot closer to what the amps are really worth.
