Here's what I did on my 5th gen...I added two pieces of foam a/c insulation 1-1/4" x 1-1/4" x 42" in the gap between the rear window & rear deck. This stopped alot of the rattle there. I removed my bose sub to port more air into the cab from my 2-Infinity 10".

so where the bose sub "would" be, which is behind my brake window...i could cut out the piece that is there for the sub, put speaker grill over it, spray paint it whatever color i want, attach a JL Audio emblem, and it would look clean!?

Will porting holes in the rear deck really stop rattling...Not completley stop it from rattling, but cut down on the ampunt ?? How will this improve the sound of my subs ??? I've been having a lot of rattling trouble from all over the car, but the rear deck is the worst...Thanks in advance for any help ....

yea it will make them twice as loud if you already have a proted box try to take out your rear speakers and you will notice a difference right there?? WHICH way are you looking to face your speakers, towards front or rear of car
