secrets on addind amp to Bose

Ok maybe every body already knows this, but I just want to pass it on. I went to an audio shop last week to buy a Bazooka for my Bose at first I was gonna buy that adapter from sounddomain but the guy at the shop told me not to get it because its bull ****. Instead he told me to pull out the amp from one of the rear bose speaker and you will see a yellow and a purple wire he said that the yellow is negative and the purple is positive he said its not amplified because its coming from the head unit and the Bose head unit send out the same amount of watts as any regular head unit. I went home did what he said to and my Bazooka is kicking no problems since and my bass is nice and clean, no distortion. Please note that its only to be connected to the high input of your amp or Bazooka.
