It really depends on how much $$ u want to spend. I personally like MB Quart speakers and tweets, but they can get expensive. Boston is good to.

I use Diamond Audio HEX. They have a low line (reasonably priced) that actually beat the MBQs in a sound comparison. Feb issue Mobile Entertainment.

Re: I need some advice

Right now I have Polk MOMO but I just ordered Focal Polykevlars. I like the Polks but I wanted something better. It's hard to recommend something without knowing how much you want to spend though.

Is that being too cheap?

Not at all. You would do very well with that budget. Shoot me an Email, I may be able to help you a little.

No, for that price you can get some great sounding speakers and a nice amp to drive them. The Diamond HEXs that Pearl has are supposed to be excellent, I considered them but I knew someone who had Focals and they sounded great so I went with those. Whatever you decide on, make sure you hear the stuff before you finalize your decision because with the higher end stuff everyone has a different preference. When I was looking for new components I considered Diamond, Focal, and Crystal (if you want to save some $ they only run about $150 a pair.) If you get a really good set of components like the ones mentioned, make sure you give them a lot of power (~100 watts RMS).
