I just had a ported box made for me by tweeter with 1 JL10W3, this thing hits pretty good. I am currently running a kenwood 629s (350 watts peak) to it and it keeps cutting out. I was told by one of my friends that the amp may not have enough power for the sub. Does anyone have any suggestions as far what amp I should get?

 

go with the JL 250/1. The power is matched to your 10W3

 

The JL 250 would be nice, but if you want you can give it more power. A friend of mine is running two of the 12s and he is giving them 500 watts RMS per sub without any problems at all.

Does anyone know how much this amp costs? I currently have an alpine 7894 with JL vr650's up front and JL 2 ways in the rears that being powered by an eclipse 50 x4. Would it make more sense to get the JL 5 channel amp?
