Stereo dies if I leve it on when I turn my car off

Hello,
I've had a problem with my factory Bose stereo for my 96 Maxima for a while now. Basically, if I fail to turn the stereo off before I turn the car off, and then leave the car off for 2 days or more, the stereo seems to lose all power. In fact, one time I left the car off (without turning the stereo off) for a week, and my car's battery actually died. Anyway, if I can remember to turn the stereo off, I can go years without this problem happening. However, it was left on the other day, and my stereo is dead again. I usually have to pay my stereo guy $20 to fix it - he claims it's an easy fix. Does anybody know what he's doing to fix it?

Thank you for any info,
Adam

a solution

Well, if anybody out there has this problem, here's the solution.
First, take out the two fuses for the radio, and put them back in. If that doesn't work, take out the stereo itself, unplug it, and plug it back in. This is how that guy fixed my problem...

sounds like your connectors might be corroded.
