Rearview mirror moves when bass hits

I have 2 12s and my rearview mirror won't stay put when the bass hits. Is it because it's loose or something? If so, how do I tighten it?

You now have BASS...

...you'll probably have to get used to it - unless you mean your rear view is falling off or something like that. If that's the case then, DAAAAAAAAAAAAMMMNNNN!!! I don't know what to tell you, other than turn your gains down and stop pounding the bass so hard, dawg - leave some for the rest of us!!!

I found this in another thread. It should help you.

What I did was cut a piece of rubber hosing thats probably 1 1/4" in length and wedge it between the windshield itself and the mirror's supporting rod. Now I can blast the stereo as loud as I possibily want and the mirror stays in place.

It's not falling off...it's just won't stay in one spot. And I'm not really a dawg...maybe a dawgette? Thanks anyway.

And Nick, thanks, I'm going to try that.

actually my 98 max came with the rubber piece in it already it doesnt help that much but if its really falling look behind your mirror, there will be a screw there, tighten it. it will be harder to adjust your mirror but hey it will stop it from FALLING down..worked for me
