Anyone deal in Home Audio stuff?

Sonofab!tch... I just blew one of my Hi-Vi Research midranges in my home system.

I can't seem to find any used or on ebay or anything like that, and I'm too broke to pay "full retail" on them.

Anyone know of any place to look or talk to so that I can get my system back up and running?

FYI, the Hi-Vi stuff is marketed in complete speaker systems as the Swans speaker stuff. Pretty good stuff, and I LOVE the sound.. Plus I've got over $2k invested in these speakers, so I don't want to have to swap midranges and completely rebuild my home audio system because I blew one speaker. that'd suck a big donkey ****.

You can buy the various Hi-Vi components from Parts Express ( http://www.partsexpress.com/webpage....WebPage_ID=136 )
You might want to take a look and see if they sell the same part.

I'm aware they sell them there, but was looking for some slightly better prices, as I plan on making my center and rear speakers of the same type, but smaller drivers...
Then again, the "F" series stuff isn't terribly expensive to begin with, but 8-10 drivers at 50-75 each add up quite quickly!

Fortunately, It ended up just being the tinsel leads somehow shorted together on the midrange driver. pulled it apart and everything works great. I'm surprised I didn't blow up my crossover or amp- a dead short at 200+ W is scary!
