Alpine Amp Question...
Alpine Amp Question...
OK guys, here's the deal....
I have a 4 channel Alpine, and I had a Punch75 running off of the preamp outputs on it. I recently upgraded the Punch amp to a JL Audio 250/1 amp, and now I have a blinking red light on the Alpine amp. It is the first little LED on top of the amp. It says in the manual "floating ground". Has anyone experienced this before, or does anyone have an idea of what's up with this?? Both amps are working fine, actually sounds really good, but I keep wondering about the blinking red light....
Thanks guys,,,,,DMAN

Maybe, try grounding the Alpine to a different ground point. Then, see if the light disappears. Obviously, there's is something along that ground loop causing the red light to come on. Then, again, there may be nothing wrong with the ground if it works fine without any problems. But, check different grounding points to make sure.
