best amp

Hi, this is my first post I'v started to upgrade the system in my car..and i want to know the best amp to power my infinity kappa perfect 12.1 rms:350w, frequency response: 18~150, nominal impendance: 4ohms. I know it's better to over power than to underpower, but other than that im dumb about this stuff. thanks guys

Everybody will have their own opinions, but basically when it comes to amps you get what you pay for. Main thing to do is get your RMS at the right level, and make sure the amp is stable at the load you are going to give it. I like the older Kicker ZR amps...I have 2 both are rated at 240w but are actually 356 and 389 on the birth records....try searching, everybody has some favorite brand

Re: best amp

There really isn't any "best" amp out there. There are a lot of really good amps you can get. If you want to save some money, look at a JBL 600.1. This amp will give you over 300 watts at 4 ohms for less than $200. Make sure that you look at your amp's rating at 4 ohms and not 2 ohms or you'll be underpowering your sub.

Re: best amp

i have the same subs
i've had it forever!
i love my subs
now.... that we got that part over with
at first i ran the subs off of a rockford fosgate 250a2 (old version)
then i switched it to rockford fosgate 400a4 (old version)
i heard the old versions are better thats why i keep the old versions
i just blew that amp (i think)i got to go get it checked out tomorrow
if it is broken then im probably get a rockford fosgate 500a2 or if they ahve one thats even better
try to get your rms high thats my goal now... soo i can make the bass really loud and low from the controls of the amp
but both the previous amps are realllllllly good they hit hard
anand

Jl Audio amps are really good-high end. You're using some high-end subs, why not juice them up with some clean powerful amp? the 300/4 is gunna run you anywhere from 400-500 but its totally worth it. It will rattle your nut$ack.
