ok hell with bose, my back left speaker isnt working and my front left speaker makes a wierd buzzing so im gonna do away with the bose. Im not lookin to spend a ton of money tho, lookin to get the best i can get for the money tho, Whats the best pair of 6x9's i can get for 100 bucks? i seen 3 way sony xplods are they any good? if not what should i get, and for the fronts should i go with 4x6's or 61/2's and only lookin to spend like 70 bucks for the front ones. Im not gonna get a amp. and im gonna get a 300 dollar deck around prolly, pioneer i think since it matches the inside colors of the dash at night. Help please

I actually put some Blaupunkts in the front, but im not really impressed. Either way, when you put new highs in the front, you might have to cut a new whole in the existing Bose speaker housing. I did that for my 91SE, and make sure you seal it off too, and seal the back. Go to home depot and get some weather stripping, it works great.

 

For that price range, here are my favs:

6X9 Crystal Mobilesound CXe693 exactly $100 (if you include the $30 domain dollars)

6 1/2 Crystal Mobilesound CXe615 exactly $70 (if you include the $20 domain dollars)

You might even be able to find them cheeper elsewhere online.

I put in Blaupunkt PC something something... The 6x9's are aluminum cone 4-ways. They are awesome. I got them for $55 bucks...

 

well those pioneers dont seem bad as speakers, but if you add in the high s&h charge they are charging its more money than i wanna spend. i never hear of crystal the company either, but im not really into audio stuff. whats the RMS of the deck you have, it does look like somethin i would be interested in, same with the EQ. does it work good and stuff? in another words would you sell it to your friend? =) lol amp sounds good too lol but i dont have enough for all that. i didnt plan on getting an amp, would the music sound fine w/o one? i dont plan on adding a subwoofer ever.

 

Crystal is a very good brand which is mostly known for their subs but also make high quality speakers. I am about to order some of the CSx615's myself. As far as the cd player goes, it is 40X4 peak so I would guess it is about 20X4 RMS. Before I bought the amp and eq I used the cd player by itself to power two sets of Boston Accoustics speakers and they sounded great. The reason I am selling is b/c I sold my old car and have decided to put a more conservative system in my new max. The cd player and eq are in great shape. If you use this or any external eq though you must have an external amp (my amp has already been sold so you would have to find a different one). Hope this helps.

out of those what do you think i should go for since im not getting an amp, im leaning towards the Alpine personally since to me they have known to be very good. plus it has a built in amp type thing so it pumps out 27watts RMS and 60 peak which is impressive. You think the Alpine is the best outta those?
