im installin a deck im my 95 maxima
AIWA cdc x927M and i cant find a ground wire
i tried grounding it to metal and i blew fuses
and i got it not to blow the fuse
but i still cant power my unit on
what am i doin wrong

Well, first the battery ground should be removed before you start playing with electricity. Next is that there is a bolt in the floor pretty much dead center of the console. You may have to remove the ash tray and cigarette lighter to get to it. Ground your head unit under that bolt.

 

You could also use a diode to stop the fuses from blowing.

You could also use a circuit breaker. I wasted three fuses before I gave up and got the circuit breaker. Now I just flip a switch to reset the circuit, rather than replace the fuse.
